Our power modules

Our power modules also offer extensive coverage of CE standards and have been integrated and operated on the field by several European charging stations manufacturers. Watt & Well is a pioneer in V2G power module technology, as demonstrated by the first full-scale experiments carried out by Groupe RENAULT in Europe (Utrecht and Porto Santo in 2019). Our strong network across the V2G value chain enables us to propose unique engineering services to boost our customers’ EV expansion. With an extensive coverage of CE standards, Watt & Well stands as one of the most experienced players in the field of bi-directional charging and has been showcasing its leading role in the European Archimedes project and numerous other pilot programs.

AC Unidirectional.

Our unidirectional power module MPU-R2 is V1G-dedicated power units which offer the resources required to speed up fast charger integration and reduce the investment required for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) manufacturers. It has been designed following a high level of ergonomics and includes an open platform for operation.

 

Power Modules 30 KW (MPU-R2)

The MPU-R2 is a 30kW EV charging module, able to convert power from AC tri-phase grid to DC EV battery. It features a modular design capable of parallel operation and can be used as a part of a high power system such as 150 and 360 kW EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment systems). This DC power module is compatible with smart charging (V1G) and can dynamically apply limitations on its grid current consumption.

AC bidirectional.

 

Power Modules 11 KW BMPU

Designed for smart grid (V2G, V2H, V2L) applications, BMPU-R2 is a modular grid-tied power supply capable of bidirectional conversion between AC (grid) and DC (EV battery). Its innovative 4-phases design enables operation in three-phase 16A (with or without neutral) or single phase 32A. This module supports 3 modes: G2V (charging battery from grid), V2G (discharging battery into the grid), V2L (creating AC grid using battery power).

BMPU-R2 is the latest generation of our greatly renowned BMPU series of V2G converters, deployed as part of the Smart Fossil Free island (with Renault at Porto Santo).

Our BMPU-R2 technology has been awarded “Seal of Excellence” by European Council with 4 patents filings under the IPA4SME program.

Power Module 11 KW BMPU

The BMPU-R2-DC is a 11 kW Bidirectional Power Unit, DC/DC isolated converter capable of bidirectional conversion between a DC grid and an EV battery.

It features a modular design capable of parallel operation and can be used as a part of a very high power system.

Typical application: electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) supplied by ESS or DC grid.
