September 25, 2025 – We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership that will shape the future of mobile industrial power. Watt & Well has joined forces with Norwegian technology leader Kverneland Energi under the DYNAMO project, a €2.2 million Eureka Eurostars initiative that will develop next-generation mobile charging systems for heavy-duty electric vehicles.
Powering Europe’s Toughest Worksites
The DYNAMO project addresses a rapidly expanding €1.2 billion annual market for high-power conversion systems, specifically targeting mobile charging solutions for heavy-duty electric vehicles in construction and logistics sectors. With leading European cities committing to require fossil-free construction machinery in their public projects, the demand for reliable, high-power mobile charging infrastructure is accelerating across Europe.
Why This Partnership Matters
Kverneland Energi’s reputation is built on reliability. Their market-leading Thor platform delivers clean, silent, and reliable power, making industrial-scale electrification a reality in sectors like construction, grid support, and event management. By selecting Watt & Well as a key technology partner, they’re ensuring the next generation of Thor chargers continues to be the most trusted solution on the market.
Our MPU-R2 is already a standard component in the Thor 3.1 solution, ensuring full compatibility with the 230 VLL IT grid common in Norway. This proven track record forms the foundation for our expanded collaboration under DYNAMO.
Technical Excellence Meets Market Demand
“Working with Kverneland Energi allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile power conversion,” said Raul Iglesias, CTO of Watt & Well. “Their deep understanding of real-world operating conditions combined with our expertise in high-efficiency power electronics creates the perfect synergy. The DYNAMO project will deliver power conversion systems that achieve over 97% efficiency while withstanding the harshest industrial environments.”
The collaboration leverages our 17 years of expertise in power electronics for demanding sectors including electric mobility, energy, and space applications. Our solutions combine advanced technology and reliability to meet the challenges of the most extreme environments.
European Innovation Alliance
This Franco-Norwegian partnership strengthens European energy technology independence through local manufacturing – Watt & Well in Pertuis, France, and Kverneland Energi’s expanding Norwegian facilities. The project incorporates comprehensive sustainability analysis through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Environmental Profiles (PEP).
“This project represents more than just technological advancement—it’s about European companies leading the global energy transition,” said Benoit Schmitt, CEO of Watt & Well, and Aksel Kverneland, CEO of Kverneland Energi in a joint statement.
Project Support and Timeline
The DYNAMO project is supported by Eureka Eurostars, co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe, with national funding from Bpifrance (France) and the Research Council of Norway. The project’s kick-off meeting was held this month in France, marking a significant step toward emission-free construction operations across Europe.
What’s Next
This partnership positions Watt & Well at the forefront of Europe’s industrial electrification transition. As construction sites across major European cities move toward fossil-free operations, our advanced power conversion technologies will be essential for enabling reliable, high-power mobile charging solutions.
Stay tuned for updates on the DYNAMO project as we continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile power conversion.
