Watt &Well joins Cleantech for France
Jan 29, 2026

Watt & Well announces its membership in Cleantech for France, a coalition of industrial players and investors mobilized to accelerate the industrialization of clean technologies in France.

Pertuis, January 28, 2026 – Watt & Well, a French specialist in power electronics, is joining Cleantech for France, a coalition bringing together industrial start-ups and investment funds committed to fostering the emergence of clean technology champions in France.
This membership is officially announced on January 28, 2026, during the Green Industries Summit organized at the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.

Green industries: a strategic lever for French reindustrialization

Cleantech for France brings together industrial scale-ups and investment funds that believe France has all the assets required to succeed in its green reindustrialization. At a time when global industrial momentum is slowing, green industries stand out as an exception: they have driven site openings upward for the second consecutive year and account for a growing share of investments. In 2024, €2 billion were invested in cleantech in France¹, confirming their role as a cornerstone of reindustrialization.

Over the past decade, investments in cleantech have experienced average annual growth of more than 15%², with a marked acceleration over the last five years. This trend reflects a profound shift: green industry is no longer a future bet, but a strategic pillar for competitiveness, economic sovereignty, and the country’s energy transition.

Watt & Well: French expertise serving a sovereign and sustainable industry

Through Cleantech for France, Watt & Well is joining a collective dynamic aimed at making green technologies a pillar of French and European reindustrialization. In a context of increasing international competition, the coalition has a clear ambition: to enable France and Europe to retain control over key energy transition technologies and to foster the emergence of industrial leaders capable of competing on a global scale.

As a specialist in power electronics, Watt & Well brings to the coalition its expertise at the heart of modern energy systems. These technologies—essential for controlling batteries, charging infrastructure, and electrical grids—play a decisive role in the performance, stability, and safety of decarbonized systems. Their industrial mastery directly conditions European energy sovereignty. Local design and production are key factors for energy independence, industrial reliability, and competitiveness.

“Industrial sovereignty cannot be decreed; it must be built. Mastering the technologies that control our energy networks and infrastructures is essential to guarantee security, performance, and resilience,” emphasizes Benoît Schmitt, CEO of Watt & Well.

By joining Cleantech for France, the company reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to a demanding green industry rooted in the territory and focused on the long term. The Green Industries Summit is an opportunity to reiterate that the industrial transition can only succeed through a collective effort aligning innovation, competitiveness, and sovereignty.
