Mar 28, 2025

Pertuis, March 28, 2025 – Watt & Well, a company specializing in power electronics, is proud to announce its selection as part of the first cohort of SME participating in the Texas-France Space Hub. This structured six-month transatlantic program, initiated by Rice University in partnership with CNES, Business France, and Expertise France, aims to support the establishment and growth of French companies in the U.S. space market while fostering scientific innovation.

A Strategic Opportunity for Watt & Well

The Texas-France Space Hub operates through a three-phase program. After an initial six-week preparation phase in France, Watt & Well is set to depart for Houston in the coming days. For 8 to 12 weeks, under the supervision of the Rice Space Institute and Nexus, Antoine RANSON, our Field Application Engineer in charge of this program, will immerse itself in the heart of the American space industry. This key phase will allow the company to participate in professional events, networking sessions, and meetings with key industry stakeholders.

“This initiative is the perfect opportunity for Watt&Well to promote its skills and knowledge in the US space sector, and will hopefully lead to many exciting projects for us !” – Antoine RANSON

Following this immersion, Watt & Well will return to France for the final six-week phase to finalize its strategy for establishing a presence in the U.S. The company will receive support on crucial aspects such as human resources, intellectual property, and U.S. regulations, in preparation for a long-term presence in Texas.

A Research and Innovation Accelerator for the Future of Space

In addition to supporting startups, the Texas-France Space Hub also includes a research accelerator aimed at driving innovation in strategic areas such as sustainable lunar exploration, orbital habitats, space-based food production, and bio-manufacturing in microgravity.

Led by Rice University, CNES, and the Houston Spaceport, this initiative seeks to stimulate collaboration between industries, universities, and space agencies while promoting technology transfer and the growth of space commerce.

By strengthening ties between France and Texas, this project aims to expand its impact to other countries and support the growth of a global space ecosystem.
