Watt & Well: French power electronics enter the Élysée Palace
Watt & Well will be among the companies honored at the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France 2025 for its pivotal role in fast-charging electric vehicles, a symbol of France’s technological excellence.
Pertuis, October 23, 2025
Watt & Well, a pioneering power electronics company, has been selected to represent the “Electronic Industries” sector at the 5ᵉ edition of the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France, to be held on November 15 and 16 at the Élysée Palace. This marks the company’s second participation in the event, having represented the Vaucluse department in 2021.
The company was selected for its MPU-R2, a power converter for fast-charging stations. Designed to support the transition to more efficient and sustainable electric mobility, this flagship product — entirely designed and manufactured in France — exemplifies Watt & Well’s technological expertise. This expertise extends across a complete range of power electronics solutions deployed in the energy, e-mobility and space sectors.
Innovation, sovereignty and positive impact
Watt & Well shares this distinction with its industrial partner AsteelFlash, a key player in France’s electronics supply chain. Together, the two companies contribute to the vitality of the French electronics industry. This collaboration reflects the collective dynamism of a national ecosystem capable of competing with global players while maintaining responsible, locally rooted production.
This recognition places Watt & Well alongside companies emblematic of French reindustrialization, such as Pequignet Horlogerie, Olvid, Linagora and ECM Technologies. These players embody the energy of a new generation of industrialists proving that high technology can — and should — be conceived and produced in France.
“Being showcased at the Élysée Palace is more than a source of pride: it is the recognition of a demanding, forward-looking French industrial model founded on confidence in national engineering,” says Benoît Schmitt, President of Watt & Well. “At Watt & Well, we deeply believe that power electronics can change the world and that French industrial and technological excellence has a central role to play.”
National recognition for international ambitions
The MPU-R2 perfectly illustrates this philosophy: a concentration of precision, efficiency and performance born from French R&D, optimizing electric vehicle fast-charging while reducing energy loss. Designed by Watt & Well engineers and assembled in France, it symbolizes the country’s ability to remain a land of industrial innovation at the crossroads of technological, environmental and economic challenges.
This selection for the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France crowns 17 years of industrial excellence, confirming Watt & Well’s position among the companies proudly flying the flag for a bold, inventive and sustainable French industry.
